Many  mothers who experience problems  and pain while breastfeeding, can be helped by having a specialist check to see if a factor is a baby with a tied down tongue or upper lip. This happens in a small percentage of children and while often not diagnosed, can be a major factor in your baby not flourishing and nursing properly.

Dr. Greenspan has treated countless children with this malady and is referred to by many of the lactation consultants in the greater Jerusalem area and from both Shaarei Tzedek hospital and Hadassah hospital.

The procedure is rather uncomplicated  and in many cases give great relief to the mother and baby.

Treatments using Sedation and/or anesthesia:

There are four different ways in which you can be sedated and/or anesthetized while having dental treatment:

 Inhaling Laughing Gas for mild fear or concern:

 Medical Sedation:

Relaxant pills or syrup (with or without laughing gas).  This method is efficient when there is a specific anxiety (such as from needles) and if you know that even a supportive dentist will not calm your anxiety.

 Sedation/ anaesthesia with I.V:

There is an option of deep sedation, to almost be asleep and unaware of what is happening, while inserting a sedative medicine directly into the patients vein. Our clinic is one of the only clinics that offer treatment like this. It is done under the supervision of an Anaesthesiologist and our clinic is equipped with all the emergency medical equipment that exist in hospitals.

                                                                                                      General Anaesthesia:

 General anaesthesia is used in cases of very long treatments, grownups with developmental problems or small children. Our clinic is one of the only clinics that offers this sort of method and is done under the supervision of an Anaesthesiologist.
